How to Measure

A great fit starts with accurate measurements

For the best fit, measure as close to the body as possible. Your dancer should wear a bodysuit or other close-fitting dancewear, and all measurements should be taken into account when selecting a size.

Bust

Measure the fullest part of the chest.

Waist

Measure the smallest part of the midsection.

Hip

Measure around the fullest part of the hip line.

Girth

Place the tape at the shoulder, bring it down the body, through the legs and back up to the same shoulder point at the back. Once the tape meets the starting point, press it into the small of the back. A sway back can add several inches to the girth measurement.

Outseam

Measure from the waistline to the floor, without shoes.
Never use the girth measurement alone to size your dancer.

Size Chart

Choose the size that fits the majority of measurements

Use all of your dancer’s measurements when selecting a size. For the best overall fit, choose the size that includes the majority of their measurements.

Have a taller dancer?

If your dancer needs additional length in the girth or leg, extra inches can be added to Performance Collection designs for a small upcharge. Because much of the Express and Spotlight Collections are already made and in stock, this option may not be available outside of the Performance Collections.

Plus Size Program

Our plus-size program is specifically designed for children with broader dimensions, helping provide a better-fitting costume. It is not intended for dancers who simply need additional length through the girth.

Please select your size carefully, as made-to-order costumes are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
