A FEW TIPS TO KEEP YOUR JAZZAMATAZZ COSTUME STAGE READY

For garments constructed without trim
Garments constructed of solid block lycra, velvet lycra and suziplex can be machine washed in cold water and hung to dry. Heat from the dryer will break down elasticity over time.

Garments constructed of mystiques or other heat applied foils (those with a smooth surface) can also be washed in cool water and hung to dry. Be aware, though, that time and washing may cause the metal foil finishes to dull.

Garments constructed of materials with a textured glitter may be turned inside out, hand washed, and hung to dry. Note that the textured glitter will shed over time and use.

For garments with sequin or marabou trim
Please remove all sequin or marabou trims before immersing your garment in water, whether you’re hand- or machine-washing. Do not dry clean. Trims can be reapplied after garment is completely dry.

For garments with organdy
We do not recommend washing components of costumes made with organdy (crinolines and tutus) as the finish that gives organdy its crispness will soften with washing.

Garments may be spot cleaned as needed. For best results, clean spots while they are still fresh. Apply a mild cleaning agent and water to a cloth and, wherever possible, clean from the inside of the garment to freshen between performances.
